Welcome to SHIMAI - where the refined cuisine of South Vietnam is reinvented in an urban-relaxed atmosphere and traditional dishes are given a modern interpretation. The wallpaper, designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, is reminiscent of Japanese tattoos and, combined with the harmonious lighting, creates an instant feel-good atmosphere. Under the direction of owners Tra My and Viet Hai Pham, SHIMAI masterfully combines warm lighting, comfortable seating, natural materials and Asian decorative elements. This modern take on the classic Chinoiserie style "pleases the eye and the palate" in equal measure, as the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung also writes.
